  • Lonnie Garris III (Founder & CEO)

    Lonnie is a retired United States Air Force colonel with extensive experience leading expeditionary military operations in austere locations. He also served as a chief information officer for a small technology and startup company. He earned an MBA from Webster University and is a graduate of the Yale School of Management.

  • Dr. Tom Madden (Founder & CTO)

    Dr. Madden has extensive experience in chemical battery technology. He is a recognized expert in multiple battery chemistry solutions and is the holder of over 40 patents. Dr. Madden has held several CTO positions for companies in the Lithium battery space. He earned a PhD in chemical engineering and received executive education from the Yale School of Management.

  • Duwayno Robertson (Founder & Technical Advisor)

    Duwayno is an expert in energy storage technology and consults with global enterprise clients. Duwayno’s career has also focused on the consumer packaging of battery technology in the electric vehicle market. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering along with several engineering certifications.

  • Shruti Modi Gupta (Director of Sustainability)

    Shruti has over 20 years experience in technology development and business strategy focusing on fuel cells, hydrogen, batteries and solar energy. She is an expert in electrochemistry with several patents and publications. Shruti earned a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering and Management.

  • Joe Transue (Director of Manufacturing)

    Joe has extensive experience in renewable energy and power systems. Joe has conducted fabrication and testing of various batteries to include aqueous sodium battery cells. Joe has served as a shop manager at the MakerSpaceCT and is expert on manufacturing and de-manufacturing processes. Joe is a graduate of the International Yacht Restoration School.

  • Dr. Nick Anderson (Director of R&D)

    Dr. Anderson leads experimentation at the Cool Amps presence located at the Washington Clean Energy Testbed (associated with the University of Washington). Dr. Anderson received his PhD as an NSF graduate research fellow at Columbia University, New York. He has 5 + years with startup companies doing R&D work to include lab-scale prototyping and pilot manufacturing.
